Presta atención a lo siguiente cuando compres y utilices el power bank

A power bank, also known as a charger bank or travel charger, is a portable charger that integrates power supply and charging functions. It allows you to charge digital devices such as phones and tablets anytime, anywhere. A typical power bank consists of a battery (or battery block), a protective circuit board, a housing packaging material, a thermal element, a PTC (positive temperature coefficient) resistor, and other components.

When analyzing the quality of power banks, based on recent supervision and spot checks, the main unqualified items tend to focus on three indicators: labeling, effective output capacity at room temperature, and conversion efficiency.

Labeling: This aspect mainly checks if the power bank is labeled with the required information, such as the name, model, rated input and output voltages and currents, rated capacity, battery type, and rated energy. For products with multiple output ports, the total current value for the same voltage output should also be indicated, and the rated output voltage and current for each port should be marked nearby. Failure to provide clear information can lead to mismatches with electronic devices, trigger charging protection, and even pose risks like battery fires.

Effective Output Capacity at Room Temperature: This checks if the actual effective output capacity of the power bank meets the standard requirements under room temperature conditions. If the rated capacity or effective output capacity is falsely labeled, it can mislead consumers, affect actual usage, and pose safety hazards.

Conversion Efficiency: The conversion efficiency of a power bank should meet the manufacturer’s stated value or, if not stated, should not be lower than 80%. Low conversion efficiency means higher energy loss during the conversion process, leading to a perception of insufficient capacity and a poor user experience.

Shopping Tips:
1, Check the Appearance and Labeling: Ensure the product is labeled with all the necessary information and appears free of cracks or corrosion. Look for the product name, model, rated capacity, battery energy, manufacturer, input/output port details, safety warnings, and production date. Avoid purchasing power banks without proper labeling or warnings.
2, Choose the Right Size: The capacity determines how much power can be stored, directly affecting usage time. Consider the balance between cost, capacity, and portability when selecting a power bank. Also, when flying with a power bank, follow the regulations regarding the rated energy.
3, Pay Attention to the Production Date and Charger: Newer production dates indicate less battery decay. Choose a charger that is compatible with or from the same manufacturer as the power bank.
Check for the “CCC” Certification Mark: Since August 1, 2023, power banks in China have been subject to CCC certification. Ensure the product you purchase has this mark.

Usage Tips:
1, Be Mindful of Charging Voltages and Currents: Avoid discharging the power bank completely before charging to prolong battery life. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions and avoid using voltages higher than the rated input to prevent damage to internal components.

2, Consider the Environmental Temperature: High temperatures can damage the battery and increase the risk of fire or explosion. Avoid exposing the power bank to direct sunlight or leaving it in a hot, enclosed car.
3, Prevent Short Circuits: Keep the power bank away from water, drinks, metal objects, or other conductive materials to prevent short circuits.
4, Adopt Good Usage Habits: Avoid charging and discharging simultaneously, as it can generate heat and damage components. Always place the power bank away from flammable materials.
5, Routine Maintenance: Periodically charge the power bank, even when not in use, to maintain battery activity.
Remember to prioritize safety when using or purchasing a power bank.
